After graduating as an athletic therapist in Canada and becoming head therapist for many national sports teams, Mike decided to study physiotherapy to expand his knowledge and skills set. Subsequently he travelled to Australia and graduated from Bond University with a Doctorate in Physiotherapy. During the program he completed extensive training across many settings including public hospitals, community services, and private practices. Mike also published a research article concerning the biomechanics of water sports. He is heavily involved with team sports himself and plays recreational basketball and soccer during free time.

From a physiotherapy perspective his interests include treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries throughout all age groups. In particular he is passionate about promotion of individualised exercise programs to help people get back to full potential, including the use of hydrotherapy and gym exercises.

Hey! My name is Jonathan.

I am a graduate from Griffith University’s Bachelor of Exercise Science and Master of Physiotherapy programs. I have a particular interest in general musculoskeletal & sports physiotherapy.

During my time as a physio I have gained experience working within private practice, covering a variety of sporting teams & sports based events, as well as community & aged care settings.

My main interests include treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, sports injury rehabilitation & falls prevention. I enjoy helping patients improve their quality of life & to attain their goals. This is achieved through the use of hands on treatment (such as mobilisation & manipulation, soft tissue massage, western acupuncture & dry needling), education on their condition, and individualised exercise based programs including gym, hydrotherapy & Pilates.

In my spare time I enjoy training for running events, strength training & participating in team sports.

Having grown up on the Southern Gold Coast, Brenna has been involved in the local sporting communities for many years as a member of Currumbin Surf Life Saving Club, as well as playing Netball and Touch Football. Her years in Surf Life Saving sparked a passion for injury management, and was drawn to Physiotherapy as a way to turn this passion into a career.

Brenna is a strong believer in taking a holistic approach to treatment. This involves using a combination of manual therapy, personalised exercise prescription, advice and education regarding injury prevention and self-management. Brenna has an interest in managing a mixture of Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic, and Neurological conditions. Her developing areas of special interest include ankle injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, falls prevention, and the use of Pilates Exercises in injury management.

Originally from the UK, Ben grew up just north of London & later lived along the South Coast before relocating to Australia! Outside the clinic, he spends his free time exploring the Australian East Coast & enjoys keeping active through athletics, soccer & padel.

He has built a strong passion for biomechanics, exercise prescription & rehabilitation. Prior to his move to Aus, he worked within the UK National Health Service in various hospital wards including vascular surgery & major trauma, eventually specialising as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.

Ben believes in a compassionate & collaborative approach to physio. He focuses on combining hands-on manual therapies, targeted exercise rehab & clear education to help his paitents regain confidence in movement & achieve lasting outcomes. Clinical interest include orthopaedic & post-surgical rehab, as well as helping people return to sport & everyday activities following injury

Graduating from Griffith university Gold Coast in 2016 with a Masters of Physiotherapy, I have been working in the community since. I have a particular interest in respiratory physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and exercise prescription. I love to be able to challenge my clients to help them achieve their goals. I enjoy all things sport and animals related and love to have a chat. I pride myself on my ability to make a meaningful connection with my clients and work collaboratively.

Joel completed his studies at Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master in Physiotherapy. He then moved to the coast, following his passion for surfing, running and outdoor living. He has worked on the coast for 4 years now in a variety of environments with a variety of patient types ranging from sporting populations, hospital rehabilitation and everything in-between.

His passion for physiotherapy stems from helping people achieve their goals as well as always being involved with sports from a young age and enjoying learning about the body! If he’s not in the clinic you’ll probably find him in the water surfing or by the beach.

Trena grew up on the Tweed Coast before moving to the USA on a soccer scholarship, later returning to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland. Although sport has always been a big part of her life — including time as a Matildas player — her motivation to become a physiotherapist has always centred on helping people achieve their goals.

For the past 20 years, Trena has been based in Tasmania, supporting her local community across a wide range of clinical settings. She has now returned home to the Tweed Coast and is excited to reconnect with the

community and to work alongside people to get back to what they enjoy most.

Trena has extensive experience in the management of vestibular dysfunction.  She has completed an advanced vestibular competency training. Using the latest infra-red video technology, she provides comprehensive vestibular and balance assessments to identify the underlying cause of dizziness or imbalance. Her goal is to develop an individualised, evidence-based treatment plan that supports each person to regain confidence, stability, and a full, active life.

Lucy has worked in the fitness and health industry for over 10 years. After completing a certificate 3 & 4 in fitness she went on to work in group fitness and with one-on-one clients. This motivated her to further her knowledge on the anatomy and physiology of the human body.

Once she completed her diploma in remedial massage she worked alongside many health professionals.

Lucy has an active lifestyle and loves hiking in nature and Brazilian jiujitsu, which she has been practicing for the past 7 years. Lucy has 9+ years of experience in the remedial massage industry and has a passion for helping her clients through a wide range of issues.
