Soft Tissue / Joint Mobilisation
Do you struggle with achieving a full range of motion with your hip, knee, back, ankle, and neck? Do you often feel stiff? Our qualified physiotherapists utilise different hands-on techniques including joint mobilisations and soft tissue techniques to help improve your range of motion, release tight muscles and get you moving pain-free. After completing a detailed assessment your physiotherapist will discuss if this is an appropriate treatment technique for you and get you back to moving pain-free and without limitations.

Dry Needling
This treatment technique is aimed at releasing trigger points and tight muscles within our bodies that are causing pain and discomfort. The insertion of these safe micro-needles helps the body speed up its healing process after injury and gets you back to moving faster. Our physiotherapists have completed further accreditation and training to provide dry-needling as a service and will discuss if this is an appropriate treatment method for your current needs.

Strapping & Bracing
Strapping and bracing are techniques often used to help further decrease the chance of injury and to help correct poor movements that the body has developed after injury. Such injuries include muscle strains, muscle tears or ligament injuries. Strapping and bracing can further reduce pain by reducing movement that will cause further injury. Our highly skilled physiotherapists will be able to apply this technique correctly on you and show you how to apply this to yourself. If you think this might be beneficial for you, book in with one of our physiotherapists today and we will be happy to assess if this is appropriate to your current needs.

MENS HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY
Our men’s health physiotherapist can accurately assesses and manage men with:

- Pre and post prostate surgery pelvic floor muscle training:
Urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction are common following prostatectomy and can be improved with the correct training of the pelvic floor muscles. The best results are achieved by starting pelvic floor muscle training up to three months prior to surgery to prepare these muscles for the extra support they will need to provide post-surgery.
Research shows that when this training is commenced before surgery, the severity of bladder leakage and the time it takes to restore bladder control are both reduced, however it’s never too late and learning to exercise these muscles post-surgery will also help. Research also shows that men with strong pelvic floor muscles have better erectile function.
Physiotherapists trained in this area are best positioned to accurately assess and train these muscles. They provide individualised pelvic floor muscle exercise programs with progressions and lifestyle advice to support recovery and improve quality of life.
